Welcome to Insciences, the online science community. If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of service, which together with our privacy policy govern insciences.org|anisation relationship with you in relation to this website.

The terms “Insciences” or “insciences.org|anisation ” or “us” or “we” refers hereinafter to the owner of the website whose registered office is Bruderholzweg 36, Basel, Switzerland. The term "User" or “You” refers hereinafter to you as a Visitor or as a Member.

This Terms of Service Agreement (referred to hereinafter as "Agreement") sets forth the legally binding terms for your use of the Insciences service. By using the Insciences service, you agree to be bound by this Agreement, whether you are a "Visitor" or you are a "Member" (which means that you are registered at insciences.org|anisation ). Insciences may modify this Agreement from time to time and such modification shall be effective upon posting by insciences.org|anisation . You agree to be bound to any changes in this Agreement when you use the Insciences service after any such modification is posted. It is therefore important that you review this Agreement regularly to ensure you are updated as to any changes.

Please read this Agreement carefully, if you do not agree with it, you should leave the Insciences website immediately. If you wish to become a Member, communicate with other Members and make use of the Insciences services, you must read this Agreement and indicate your acceptance during the Registration process.

insciences.org|anisation is a Science networking service that allows Members (Professors, Doctors, researchers, technicians, and PhD Students) to create unique personal profiles online in order to find, communicate and exchange information concerning their majors with old and new colleagues, who are in the same or different field of expertise. The service offered by insciences.org|anisation ("Insciences" or/and "insciences.org|anisation anisation" or/and  "insciences.org|anisation |anisation" or/and "we") includes the insciences.org|anisation website, the insciences.org|anisation internet messaging service, and any other features, content, or applications offered from time to time by Insciences in connection with the Insciences Website. The Insciences services are hosted in Switzerland, by “nextron”.

Membership in the Insciences service is void where prohibited. Insciences is intended solely for users who are involved in the Science field. Any registration by use of or access to the Site by anyone out of these fields (Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Life Science and Pharmaceutical Science), is prohibited, unauthorized, unlicensed and in violation of this Agreement. By using the Insciences service or the website, you represent and warrant that you are an expert in one of these fields, and that you agree to and to abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

Please choose carefully the information you post on insciences.org|anisation and that you provide to other Users. By using the Insciences service, you represent and warrant that (a) all registration information you submit is truthful and accurate; (b) you will maintain the accuracy of such information; (c) you will maintain the security of your password and identification; (d) you will be fully responsible for all the use of your account and for any actions that take place during this time; (f) your use of the Insciences services does not violate any applicable law or regulation; (h)your profile will be deleted and your Membership may be terminated with or without warning, if we believe that you have violated any of the terms in this Agreement.
Please note: your profile may include the following items: your degree, place of work such as University or Institute, telephone numbers, street addresses, full names, and a profile picture.

Fees:
You acknowledge that insciences.org|anisation registration is free of charge but Insciences reserves the right to charge for the service and to change its fees from time to time in its discretion.
 
Password:
When you sign up to become a Member, you will also be asked to choose a password. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You agree not to use the account, username, or password of another Member at any time or to disclose your password to any third party. You agree to notify Insciences immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or access to your password. You are solely responsible for any and all use of your account.

Non-commercial Use by Members:
The Insciences services are for the personal use of Members only and may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavours except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by Insciences if existing. Illegal and/or unauthorized use of the Insciences service, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of Members by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email or unauthorized framing of or linking to insciences.org|anisation website is prohibited. Commercial advertisements, affiliate links, and other forms of solicitation may be removed from Member profiles without notice and may result in termination of Membership privileges. Appropriate legal action will be taken for any illegal or unauthorized use of the services.

Use of cookies:
When you enter insciences.org|anisation , we collect your browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all visitors. In addition, we store certain information from your browser using "cookies." A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the user closes the browser. By default, we use a persistent cookie that stores your login ID (but not your password) to make it easier for you to login when you come back to Insciences. You can remove or block this cookie using the settings in your browser if you want to disable this convenience feature. We also may use cookies to make using our Web site easier. Cookies can help us see which sections of our Web site are the most or the least popular and provide us direction to improve our members’ online experience.

Members invite members.
If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a colleague about our site, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as your colleague’s email address. We will automatically send your colleague a one-time email or instant message inviting him or her to join us. Insciences stores this information to send this one-time invitation, to register a colleague connection if your invitation is accepted, and to track the success of our referral service.

Groups:
You need an Insciences Account to create a group or post comments in one of the Insciences Groups service. An Insciences Account allows you to access many of our services that require registration.  Members may create a group for any scientific topic, a group for their own research group, university, department, or institute, where they can invite colleagues from all over the world, discuss, post and exchange knowledge.
The contents of the postings, custom pages and files, including any text, images, photos, that you submit to the groups are stored and maintained on Insciences servers in order to publish these items and provide the service. If you have an account and are a Groups member, you can create a public profile that includes certain personal information, including your name, geographical location, email address and other user information and content. When users view your profile, they will see your profile information as well as links to posts, custom pages, and files that would normally be accessible to them.
Insciences collects and maintains information about your account activity, including the groups that you join or manage, lists of other members or invitees in the groups, messages or topics you track, custom pages you create or edit, ratings you make, and your preferred settings when using Insciences Groups. The information and content you post in a group – including the header information, nickname and email address associated with the posting – will be displayed to users who are able to access the group. Similarly, all information that you enter in your user profile can be viewed by other users. The creator(s) of the Insciences group decide who is in the group and whether a discussion is public or restricted. As such, groups may include people you do not know. Use care when posting personal information in a group, particularly sensitive information such as home addresses or phone numbers.

Events:
The events service provided by Insciences helps the members of Insciences to be updated by the latest scientific conferences, seminars, meetings etc... You need an Insciences Account to create such event. The members can benefit from the events service by publishing news about the event, inviting colleagues to join and publishing the goal of such events. The creator of the event who is already registered as a member in Insciences can upon creation of an event  choose the event description,who may see it, comment, join, upload photos, tag photos, and invite others. Also, the members who were invited to join the event can choose whether or not they will attend the event and may indicate the reason which is always helpful for the creator of the event.

Marketplace:
All listings posted on or through the Insciences Marketplace service and all transactions conducted in connection therewith are subject to and governed by this Agreement. Listings in the marketplace are added by members. We hold no responsibility for any transaction done between parties on the Marketplace. Members are fully responsible for their actions on the Marketplace, such as job offerings or financing scientific projects. You understand that Insciences is not responsible for any failure or for the results and performance of any transaction or relationship entered into through Insciences Marketplace. At Insciences Marketplace, those transactions are strictly between you and the other party to the transaction. ALL USE OF INSCIENCES MARKETPLACE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Insciences Community Member Web site Usage:
In order to join the Insciences online community, we will collect some personal information such as name, e-mail address, consent to use agreement form, etc. Information collected for membership is used for internal review only and will not be shared with third parties. Members of the Insciences may voluntarily share information that will then be seen by other community members. For example, user biographies may contain personal information, photos, documents, as well as organizational information and connections for networking purposes. This information is voluntarily disclosed by the member and available for other members to see. Members can send a contact inquiry to each other through the Insciences Website. A member may then voluntarily choose to respond to the inquiry, thus providing the inquiring member with a direct e-mail address for on-going communication. Special Web site features allow members to store personal files and information. This information is accessible to the member and to Insciences’ administrators.

Links to Third Party Sites:
This site contains hypertext links to other sites. Insciences is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. Insciences makes no representations whatsoever about any other web site that you may access through the Web site. When you access a non-Insciences web site, please understand that it is independent from Insciences, and that Insciences has no control over the content of that web site. In addition, a link to a non-Insciences website does not mean that we endorse or accept any responsibility for the content, or the use, of such websites. It is up to you to take precautions to ensure that whatever you select for your use is free of such items as viruses, worms, Trojan horses and other items of a destructive nature.

Security:
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Insciences makes every effort to ensure the secure collection and transmission of sensitive user information using industry accepted data collection and encryption methodologies. However, your confidential use of this site cannot be guaranteed by Insciences. We shall not be responsible for any harm that you or any person may suffer as a result of a breach of confidentiality in respect to your use of this site or any information you transmitted or posted to this site.

User Content Posted on the Site:
You are solely responsible for the photos, profiles (including your name, image), messages, notes, comments, text, information and other content that you upload, publish or display (hereinafter referred to as "post") on or through the Insciences Service or the website, or transmit to or share with other users (collectively the "User Content"). You may not post, transmit, or share User Content on the Site or Service that you did not create or that you do not have permission to post. You understand and agree that the organization may, but is not obligated to, review the Site and may delete or remove (without notice) any Site Content or User Content in its sole discretion, for any reason or no reason, including User Content that in the sole judgment of the organization violates this Agreement, or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of users or others. You are solely responsible at your sole cost and expense for creating backup copies and replacing any User Content you post or store on the Insciences website or provide to the Company. Also note that you may not publish any kind of research papers, review... ect.
When you post User Content to the Insciences website, you authorize and direct us to make such copies thereof as we deem necessary in order to facilitate the posting and storage of the User Content on the Insciences website. If you choose to remove your User Content, the license granted above will automatically expire, however you acknowledge that the Insciences may retain archived copies of your User Content. Insciences does not assert any ownership over your User Content; rather, as between you and us, subject to the rights granted to us in these Terms, you retain full ownership of all of your User Content and any intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights associated with your User Content.
 

Member Agreement for Insciences Community:
The Insciences on-line community offers space for members to dialogue, share experiences, develop sciences, work collectively in groups, and store personal as well as group interactions, related documents and materials. By joining the online member community of Insciences project, you are agreeing to the following:
 

• Diversity: Diversity of opinion, language, knowledge, culture, nationality, and human rights issue areas are welcomed and exchange is not only highly encouraged but the desired goal of the Insciences online community. As such, respectful interaction among members is essential. Treat other members with the same respect that you wish to be treated. Inflammatory exchanges, personal attacks or other disrespectful behavior will not be allowed.
• Opinions: Never assume that a member is speaking on behalf of their organization, Institute and University, unless this is clearly stated by the member as an organizational position. Remember to share opinions with respect and sensitivity. Treat other members with the same respect with which you wish to be treated. Opinions, or website behavior, that purposefully disparages, defames or provokes others on the site are not allowed.
